A youth painting exhibition in Adelaide

The Adelaide Burnside City Council came alive on May 21, 2023, as the inaugural “Art Of Nature 2023” The First International Youth Painting Expo commenced, marking a remarkable and unparalleled event. This exhibition has captured attention for its distinct theme and diverse international participants, offering the citizens a visual and emotional feast.

Organized by Joye’s Art Home, International Youth Painting Expo, Spring Art Beijing & Intercultural Communications Co., Ltd., and hosted by Shine Adelaide, the event received co-sponsorship from the Adelaide China Town Association, Adelaide Eye Media, and Overseas Chinese Association Of SA Inc, with generous support from local Australian businesses. The exhibition is scheduled to tour Australia and China, with Adelaide, Beijing, and Zhaoqing, Guangdong being the featured cities.

The opening ceremony attracted an array of esteemed guests, including government officials, artists, educators, and citizens. Among the notable attendees were Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council Jing Lee, Deputy Consul-General He Jiangchuan from the Chinese Consulate-General in Adelaide, Burnside Mayor Anne Monceaux, Burnside Councillor Mr. Andy Xing, Mr. Chen Wenfang and Ms. Zhang Deling from the South Australia Multicultural Commission, Mr. Zhang Tianbo, President of the Adelaide China Town Association, along with representatives from local Chinese media and businesses.

Ms. Wang Yueye, the founder of Joye’s Art Home and initiator of the event, delivered the opening speech. She expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the participating children, their parents, and Chinese partners, acknowledging their invaluable support. Emphasizing the theme of “nature” for this edition, Ms. Wang underscored the significance of enabling children to truly connect with nature, observe its beauty, and express their own artistic language through their paintings.

She expressed the hope that this event would serve as a bridge, bringing children from different countries closer together through offline multicultural artistic exchanges. The event aimed to provide children with genuine joy through painting while enhancing their artistic skills, encouraging them to immerse themselves in beauty and express the world with love.

Mayor Anne Monceaux addressed the exhibition, extending a warm welcome and heartfelt appreciation to all the young participating artists. She acknowledged their remarkable talent and creativity, which made the exhibition captivating and unforgettable. Mayor Monceaux also expressed gratitude to the viewers and citizens, recognizing their support and participation, which infused the exhibition with vitality and energy.

To express gratitude for the Burnside City Council’s immense support, representatives from the organizing committee, Ms. Wang Yueye and Deputy Consul-General He Jiangchuan, presented the Burnside City Council with a Chinese painting titled “Spring and Scenic Brightness,” created by Chinese teachers and students. This gesture aimed to promote the integration of artistic and cultural exchange, fostering long-lasting friendships through the power of art.

The professional team of the organizing committee meticulously selected artworks by the young participating artists, ensuring a diverse combination of artistic expression in the exhibition. Through their careful arrangement and presentation, the unique charm of each artwork was showcased, providing the audience with diverse artistic experiences and evoking a range of emotions.

The exhibition will be on display from May 17, 2023, to June 16, 2023.
